KÖLN 5 UHR 30 is the title of the last illustrated book by the Cologne photographer Chargesheimer. It was published in 1970 and shows 64 black and white photos that have long been part of Cologne's photographic memory. In 1970 they went beyond the scope of any frame in terms of content and form. This view was new. A city portrait without inhabitants. Empty streets and squares can be seen. Always taken with the same focal length and from the same tripod height.
