Trimmigrants

Trimming (in joint slang) is the action of cutting with scissors the leaves from the marihuana buds. The trimmigrants are people who come to California looking for a job in marihuana farming. Gustavo & David were there for three years in a row to work on the farm located in the Emerald Triangle and decided to film a movie about their trip. The film reports on the history, structures and working conditions within the cannabis business. The protagonists who speak in the film describe their experiences of working on marijuana plantations and discuss the position and reputation of marijuana in society. They are accompanied by relaxed music and authentic, naturalistic cinematography.
